'Palestine ambassador: New Land, New Life' project presentation

Palestinian filmmaker and consultant Rawan Damen will present her project “Palestine Ambassador: New Land, New Life”, at the second edition of AJB DOC Film Festival leading with the question on how to transfer broadcast documentaries into a multilingual e-learning platform? The presentation of the project will take place on 22 September 2019, at Cinema City - hall 2 starting with 1pm. Rawan Damen’s performance is conceived as 15 minutes TED talk followed by discussion with public.

“Palestine Ambassador: New Land, New Life” is directed to the “out of the box” thinking and  widening of knowledge, and it represents online platform for learning about rich Palestinian culture and history, people, geography, cities and villages and current challenges country is facing with. Platform allows watching films for free and reading about Palestine and Israeli occupation. Program is currently available in Arabic, English and Spanish language.

Palestine Ambassador Initiative is dedicated to those who are “tired of misinformation which surround Palestinian fight” and to those who “are ready to fight with propaganda”.

Rawan Damen is Palestinian filmmaker and media consultant - the CEO and Founder of Stream Media Consultancy. Beside this, she is the founder and team leader of Palestine Ambassador Initiative. She produced more than 30 hours of documentary program for television and is translated to many worldwide spoken languages, including Bosnian. Her award documentary series “Al-Nakba” was broadcasted on Al Jazeera Balkans.

Damen received the Media Creativity Award by the Arab Thought Foundation in Beirut.
