Lejla Dedic at the Biografilm Festival in Bologna

Biografilm Festival | International Celebration of Lives is one of the European leading festivals for documentary and long feature film.

  Al Jazeera Balkans Programme Producer and AJB DOC Film Festival Programme Committee member Lejla Dedić was invited to be a jury member of the Biografilm Festival in Bologna within the Bio To B Pitching Lab&Forum 2020.

Bio To B | Doc & Biopic Business Meeting is an event devoted to business-to-business networking between film professionals, with the goal of promoting and supporting Italian and European productions of documentaries. 

Due to the global pandemic-related circumstances, Lejla will attend to her jury member duties online on 12th and 13th of June and with other jury members decide on the best project to be announced on 15th of July.

“It is such an honor to participate in the 16th edition of Biografilm Festival as a jury member within the 7th edition of Bio to B Pitching Lab & Forum 2020 and work with all these wonderful people. Even though we are currently engaged in organization of the AJB DOC 2020, I am aware that the current global circumstances oblige us to be sensitive and help each other professionally even more than we normally do. I am happy to be a part of this endeavor and look forward to get insight into many creative ongoing projects.”

Biografilm was born in 2005 with the idea that life stories are a catalyst that activates questions and answers on the crucial issues of contemporary life and offers an opportunity to study and discuss complex, current topics. It’s a 10-day long festival taking place in Bologna, Italy, in June, with over 120,000 visitors every year.
