Call for Submissions to the AJB DOC Film Festival 2021

Submissions for the fourth edition of the AJB DOC Film Festival will be made through the application form on the web site www.ajbdoc.ba or through the Film Freeway platform. Submission deadline is May 15th.

Al Jazeera Balkans announces a Call to authors and production companies to participate in the fourth edition of the Al Jazeera Balkans Documentary Film Festival (AJB DOC), which will take place in Sarajevo and/or online from 10h to 14th September 2021. 

AJB DOC Film Festival as platform for TV documentaries is the result of the Al Jazeera Balkans’ long-year television experience in production, acquisition and broadcasting of documentaries. Its objective is to promote authors and films dealing with social phenomena, while focusing of universal human values.

Submissions for the fourth edition of the AJB DOC Film Festival will be made through the application form on the web site www.ajbdoc.ba or through the Film Freeway platform. Submission deadline is May 15th 2021.

There is no country-of-origin limitation for producers and authors who wish to submit their film. One of the main criteria is a TV documentary format with a minimum duration of 22 to 27 minutes and a maximum of 44 to 52 minutes. The official selection of the AJB DOC Film Festival, competition, non-competion and AJB Screening programme, will be announced at the beginning of September 2021.

The AJB DOC Film Festival will present awards in three established categories and all selected films can be considered for an acquisition agreement with the Al Jazeera Balkans and broadcast on its TV Channel.
