Ivana Pauerova

Ivana was born in Sarajevo. After leaving her country in 1995, she went to Prague to study at the film academy FAMU.

She successfully managed the Ex Oriente Film workshop and East European Pitching Forum for the Institute of Documentary Film (IDF), Prague, from its very beginning in 2002 until 2012. In that time, the Ex Oriente Film workshop became a prestigious creative documentary platform in Central and Eastern Europe.

At present, she is an expert consultant with IDF, and regularly takes part in the Ex Oriente Film workshop as a lead lecturer. In addition to her own directing (for example, her film Children of the State was selected for AJB DOC 2018 competition programme), she has worked with the Czech Television since 2013 as a head of documentary projects and script developer for documentary films and series.

Ivana has been actively involved in European documentary industry since 2001.
